The shirt has a fascinating history. First, before it was the standard for businessmen and fraternity brothers, the shirt symbolized the lower classes. Only peasants, shepherds, and prisoners wore their shirts in public because they could not afford overclothes. But, over time the shirt rose to become bourgeoisie. We love the humble history of the shirt. You can wear AMENDI shirts casually, with or without a coat. Each one is made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. We use no genetically modified plants, synthetic pesticides, or fertilizers during the farming process. This guarantees the ongoing health of the soil, the local biosphere, and the safety of the farm workers. It also creates a stronger cotton boll.

All our cotton is grown, harvested, woven into fabric, and sewn into shirts, in the same country. By keeping supply chain in one place we decrease greenhouse gas emissions and increase quality. We never use harsh chemicals on AMENDI shirts and take full advantage of eco-friendly technologies during production. The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) has certified our shirt supplier. This means they commit to an ethical supply chain and a Code of Conduct. This guarantees their workers receive fair wages, fair working hours, and other human rights. Learn more about our suppliers and their certifications by clicking the transparency link below.
